WITH GRATEFUL HEARTS

Heart filled with gratitude I thank God for this great day, on 27th of August 2012, for calling me out of his great love to be his disciple, to be with him and to be send out, which I could experience today, and God’s showers of blessings on me, his leading hands upon me. I also say with St. Paul in his letter to the (phi 4:13) “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens Me.” the life of our founders helped me to be strong in my faith and vocation to love and serve God who is our highest good and the source of our our life
I could experience inner joy and happiness and I also could feel that the Lord is telling me. do not be afraid trust that the God of life wants to embrace you and give you true safety. I could experience the embracing of God whose love is unconditional. I also experienced love, concern, support and prayers of my Claretian sisters and my dear family members .I thank the Lord for this beautiful experience.

ASHRAM EXPERIENCE
I am janitha, I am a second year novice. I would like to tell about my ashram experience in Anjali Ashram. First of all I am grateful to God the almighty, for giving me this great opportunity this God experience through this Ashram. And I am grateful to my congregation, for giving me this chance. The Anjali Ashram where I stayed is far from city, it is a place of silence and peace surrounded with so many plants. This place gave me the relaxation and I could see God in Nature and in my brethren, and I came to know more about the religious traditions of my country. The Indian style of celebrating mass gave me to feel one with my country. And I could me God in the silence and through the elder’s suggestions. I experienced the peace of mind and tranquility with in myself. And I learned many values like silence, listening, acceptance, understanding etc.. the act of doing “seva” helped me to be generous, and the yoga gave me the activeness. This experience of Ashram gave me to find God with in me and around me. Through this experience I may grow faithfully. And once again I give thanks to the congregation for giving me this great opportunity.

Thank you
Janitha

GOD IS ALL IN ALL

I am grateful to God & community & to the congregation who provided me this golden opportunity to know myself and to know God who is all in all. In the very beginning I could feel the atmosphere very calm peaceful which help me to discover myself and feel the closeness of God.
This experience helped me to know myself, who am I? It has opened my mind, heart & eyes to see His goodness in everything. It has enlarged my vision to know myself. I am the image of God. He has created me in his image & likeness. I have nothing but every thing is belonging to God. One who gave me life is all in all. My breathing, my being, feelings, my thoughts every thing is His. Because He is supreme above all.

All the activity what I did, I did meaningfully. It has enlarged my awareness of being & it has strengthened me to go ahead on my life journey. Through prayer & meditation I could feel the presence of God in and around me. I was not able to understand myself I had been complaining others, but this experience challenged me & given me the courage to go forward & grow myself on the right path. My life is gift from God & it is my responsibility to take care of it.
I could hear the voice within me crying, “Come out from the pit how long will you be there”? And it disturbed me a lot, which kind of life am I leading? Is it profitable to me? If it not then why can’t I change? And now I have long desire to change my self. Now I say Lord I am here I am longing to see you. Like a deer which runs after the water & like the river which runs to meet the sea. So I am also searching the Lord day and night. When I look at the sky I could feel his presence & when I see the nature, & when I feel the wind blow I feel He is whispering to me & telling to me don’t be afraid I am with you. I am breathing everyday but I never realized that my breath it self God but this experience made me to understand in each breath what I take in or out it is God!
How blind was having this beautiful life & every thing it is nothing but the gift of God. But this experience has opened my eyes & now I can see the goodness of the almighty. One more thing I would like to share through the kirtana of meera Bai I was touched so much it gave me the courage to look into my life how much I am attached to Him. Each word was inviting me to reflect my faith towards God. It was very much helpful to me to long for God who is all in all. & It was asking me to empty myself so that He may fill me with His love, compassion, patients generosity so that I may become the channel of God to reach His love every one. This experience brought me closer to God & has given me the courage to surrender fully to Him & to know His great love that measureless, untouched & unseen!

Saturday, January 14, 2012

dear sisters we wish you all happy feast on the heavenly birth day of our foundress. May we all be blessed by God in our renewed life journey. Happy feast to all. let this celebration every year bring us more closer to her spirit and love for the Law of God.
we celebrated today with many people of india PONGAL the harvest festival. we gave thanks to God in the Eucharist, and shared a plentiful fraternal meal with the products of the earth. this is also called in some other parts of India as Sankrathi. we cook the newly harvested rice and allow it to overflow as a sign of plentiful and abundance. this sweetened rice is brought to the Euchatist, blessed and shared by all after the Mass. So Happy Pongal to all.
