Meeting with Laity

On 7^th of March, we had the meeting with our benefactors and spencer’s. Consisting seven members. We started our meeting in the evening at 7.00 pm with the prayer .after a brief introduction the participants shared their life experiences in collaborating with our pastoral and social activities.

By doing the mission with us they expressed their experience in these points:

v  God has chosen you and you have chosen us.

v  By doing the mission with you it makes us to feel as one family.

v  You are manifesting and radiating the love of Christ to the people through different ministry.

v  Searching out to the people without seeing any religion.

v  By collaborating in your ministry you are helping us to see Christ in those poor and marginalized people.

v  Supporting the people not only by giving food, but also educating them with moral values.

The participants expressed their sincere thanks and happiness for having such opportunity to serve the people 

We are also happy to get the encouragement and suggestions from them for our future mission. And we closed our meeting at 8:00pm.

Prayer for the XVII General Chapter

PRAYER FOR XVII GENERAL CHAPTER

God our Father, you have called us in your Son Jesus and in the Spirit to announce every creature the Gospel and be faithful witnesses. We thank you for journeying with us in these years to be new Apostles with the torch of the Gospel in our hands. We thank you for the gift of our Holy Founders St. Antony Mary Claret and Ven.Maria Antonia Paris. We are also grateful for all the Claretian Missionary Sisters who have gone before us.

Make our hearts and minds open to embrace the reality of our world and the Church, to be on mission and to give ourselves totally. We pray that our preparation for the forth-coming General Chapter be a time of grace, reflection, trust, hope and Joy.

Holy Spirit, renew the hearts of your faithful and enkindle again the fire of your love. Encircle us with your grace. Strengthen each step we take, as we seek to know your will for us. In you we trust, in you we hope. To your will we surrender our institute. Help us to walk as Apostolic communities, making the way easy for others.

Mary Immaculate, the mother of Evangelization lead us and intercede for us on our move. Amen

ENTRY TO THE ASPIRANCY

              Our Candidates Donilta Jesunayagam and Nishanthini Rajendran had started their Aspirancy on the feast of Our Mother Foundress, on 17th of January 2017 in  Koswatta house. The community prayed and welcomed  them joyfully and expressed their support  to their growth and also the newly entered Aspirants  expressed their joy and willingness as they are entering into the Claretian life.Please do keep them in your prayers.

PONGAL CELEBRATION

PONGAL CELEBRATION

                            The community of Nirmala Nivas celebrated the festival of Pongal. It is a harvest festival “Thamizhar Thirunaal”. This festival is celebrated in Tamil Nadu the southern state of India. It is to say that farmers cultivate the land and venerates the first fruit of the cultivation by saying thanks to god the creator of the nature for the flourishing season of the harvest. On this day we specially prayed for the farmers and also we had small celebration in the community.

JUNIOR'S ENCOUNTER

                      

                    We the juniors from India and Sri Lanka had participated in Junior’s encounter from 27^th to 31^st of December. First of all I thank God and our congregation for giving us the opportunity of this encounter. We had gathered to discuss and deepen about our consecrated life. We also shared about the challenges and experiences in the consecrated life. The sessions were really enriching and helped us to deepen about our identity, the consecrated life and the necessity to do the examination of the conscience every day of our life. At the end we had concluded the session with recollection day. It was really good, where we recollected the whole year of our ups and downs and God’s hand in it. And we were grateful to God.

    

On 1^st of January, 2017 the foundation stone is blessed and laid in Kottapitiya, Chilaw, Sri Lanka for the Mission House. We kindly request your prayers and support for this Mission.
