THE ECONOMY ENCOUNTER
FRATERNITY ,SHARING OF GOODS,SOLIDARITY............
The encounter of the
economy of the Claretian Missionary Sisters began on Friday, September 24th –
29th in Mysore India. Participating are 10 sisters and Mr. Oscar who
come from Argentina, Roma, India and Sri Lanka.
With our reality and with the desire to respond to
the challenges of the world we gathered
have shared and explained some norms of the project-manual of the
administration in the Entities and for the good of the communities and work o f the apostolic mission in the
Congregation.
The most important elements
that we have learned in economy are ones that we will be continuing to learn in
our communities for the good of the congregation and for the good of the each
sister.
We've talked about
several topics of the administrations and the fraternal life and actually
passing this space where we can share the experience and realities of our
mission in our communities and our congregation. We have studied the manual and
plan ways to improve the administration of goods in the Congregation.
We
motivated to learn and to be witness of our life watching everyday life in the
communities and appreciation of living the present with love and hope, with
profound faith. Thank you for all this information made us feel easy.
It was great help for us
to start each day with more encouragement and interior delight. We also had the
opportunity to see some places in Mysore to enjoy the days. And we learned a
lot. We thank the Government sisters and especially Sister Cristina and Mr.
Oscar for their help in the economy process, both material and spiritual. Thanks for the dedication of the time and
knowledge for the mission.

Padrithana was the pioneer mission place of central India back from 1865 . Here in the top of the hill a huge Cross was erected in the year 1933. On the day of feast of the exaltation of the Cross on September 14th, there is a pilgrim walk organised from Butibori to Padrithana church. it is 12 kms distance. The parishners from near and farplaces joined together to make a prayerful pilgrimage. All the way we were praying the Way of the Cross and Rosary. From our Butibori community, we too participated and received graces from the Lord. It was a good faith experience and as well witness. In the afternoon the Archbishop of Nagpur Rev. Dr. Abraham presided over the Eucharist. Long live Cross of Christ our Saviour!!!

The graceful movement
of juniors
As we are in the year of mercy, it is a year
of grace for each one of us.
We thank the Lord for the
privilege and opportunity that the Lord has given us. We had 3 days seminar for
the juniors in the community of nirmala nivas, Mysore, it was conducted by junior’s
coordinator Sr. rani, on topic of “be merciful as your heavenly father is
merciful”. As we are in the jubilee year of mercy, the Gospel is inviting us to
become a living Gospel through our witness. As Jesus mission began by
proclaiming the Mercy of God “the spirit of the Lord is upon me, because the
Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the afflicted, and freedom to those
in captives and to proclaim the year of the lords mercy.” This is what we wish
to live now. Through going to the roots of our own charism of our congregation,
to renew ourselves, the divine mercy demands us mercy. If only we can
experience the infinite mercy of God we can really practice this Christian love
and mercy. It was very good time for each one of us to come together as one family.
That we were renewed by the spirit, especially to share our life experience and
it has helped us to grow. As well as we were able to feel the mutual support of
our Sr.Rani. At the end of this seminar we were strengthened by the spirit to persevere
in our vocation.
With love

CLARETIAN SISTERS AT CHENNAI FLOOD RELIEF
As we all know that there was a flood in
Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu. Though we could not reach for immediate
help yet we tried to do something for these victims of flood. So during
Christmas holidays with the cooperation of the community Srs. Shanthi and
Sophia went to Tamil Nadu especially to Chennai to work with the victims along
with the Claretian Fathers in Tambaram. Really they were doing a wonderful job
to reach out to the needy, by cleaning their soiled houses and meeting their basic needs. It was also a
very good experience for us to collaborate with the CMF of Chennai province.
Fr. Tony was the coordinator, along with him other sisters from different
congregations and we two. We were visiting and surveying the family situation,
conducted medical camp and provided certain household items and hygienic kits
for the families according to the need. Really it was a meaning experience and
a great satisfaction that we could do something for these people. So we thank
the fathers for accepting our invitation to work with them and my community
members for making this time available.
Our observations:
- There
is a need of the nurses who can help the people to be free from illnesses.
- There
is a need of medicines to be distributed among the people as some have
suggested and expressed their needs.
- The
houses of the people whom we visited are wet.
- People
live in a slushy area which can make them sick.
- The
mud houses are wet and therefore there is a threat for the fall of the
walls and they fear that they can live no-more.
- People
were standing on the road side to get some helps from somebody which will
be beneficiary for their timely living.
