“DISTORTED FACE OF MY LORD” THAT I SEE IN EVERY ONE OF THEM

I ‘am very happy to express my heartfelt gratitude to my Almighty father, for his unconditional love that he shows me, that I am able to share with his children.
Differently abled children are called who are capable to do “ordinary things in an extraordinary way”. That is why the society calls them differently able children.
We see them with sympathy but actually they needed empathy, we people of God must learn how to help them and to be with them, we do develop the ability to accompany with them.
Disability is not something in disorder but it is to say in another word differently able. When you hear about them we feel or think immediately that they can’t walk or talk or do everything that people take for granted; with my personal experience with them, now I take nothing for granted. But I find real disability is people who can’t find joy, peace in life and are bitter. Even they can be joyful, helpful, responsible, prayerful, and grateful. But those who are created by God with all ability and live in bitterness and pain are can be called disable in reality.
In my experience being with them, I have learned a lot of things, to listen, to help and to smile. I don’t do many things with them but make them happy, in small way that is their happiness and me too. I see the face of God in them and God’s love from them. They can do everything, I don’t say the word disable but differently able.
Thank you for all of your prayerful support.
Kindly I ask all of your prayerful support for God’s mission, in what he has entrusted to me.

SOCIAL WORK

TUITION & NUTRITION PROGRAMME

Tuition and Nutrition programme is funded by Korima Claretianas, Spain. There are around 50 children every year are benefitted, including their families. They are assisted with their studies, every day additional nutritious food, and social and life skill activities.
The sponsorship programme is funded by some individuals from Italy and USA, there are around 25 year children who are benefited out of this programme. It provides them economical help for their education, education materials and birthday and Christmas gift and other emergency needs.
This year we concluded the academic year with staff meeting, parents meeting and one day picnic for the children. The children enjoyed site seeing and played in water.
This year we have reviewed the tuition programme in the community and as well with our collaborators and noted some important points: the sisters presence was felt and children improved in following guidelines and discipline and as well there was improvement in their curricular performance. The students passed out with good marks in their higher and higher secondary schools. For the better functioning and effective help to the children we would need another external tuition teacher, and as well in selection of the students for our tuition we must follow our criteria.
We also evaluated the need for the supplementary food that is provided to the children every day. Most of the families are able to meet their basic meal except very few families, what they need most is educational help for their children. So instead of food we could provide them with the study materials and one more tuition teacher.
Some of our sponsor children are studying in the private schools, and the expenses are every year rising up. The children and their families are in regular contact. Education paves better future for them, families and for the society. We are happy to be part of this creative educative mission for construction of our society.

A RAY OF LIGHT...

My experience with Sneha Kiran Run by Mysore spastic society
“A ray of light banishing darkness; A ray of love enveloping every child;
A ray of hope in the depths of impossibility”.
My gratitude towards the delegation for providing me this beautiful opportunity to give myself for these special kids. I really appreciate and admire the cheerfulness of the children, even in their disabilities their faces bloom with cute smile; when I look deep into myself, God has blessed me with all the abilities but I fail to appreciate or happy about what I have, but these innocent faces taught me a great lesson to be grateful ever. I see that the children are happy of themselves; It‘s all because of their parents, teachers and the staffs who are helping and caring for them to come up in life. This centre truly promotes life, trains and teaches them life skill to use their maximum abilities through physio -occupational therapy, speech therapy, special education, vocational training, assistance in technology, education and counselling for parents etc… which enriches the meaning of their life. In the beginning I found difficult to understand their conditions and be to their level, slowly I discovered to love them and be patient with them which lead me to give myself to this service. It was indeed a great experience for me to be  a radical missionary. I thank God for this great opportunity.
Thank you & God Bless You
