Season of  Christmas

It’s not a time of external celebration;
It’s a time of inner peace and joy.
It’s not a time to purchase and share gifts;
It’s a time to share your own gifts of time, talents, love and joy.
It’s not a time to send greeting cards and presents;
It’s time to live in the present.
It’s not a time to display the serial lights and stars;
It’s a time to display the light of Christ.
It’s not a time to make crib and manger;
It’s a time to prepare a room in your heart.
It’s not a time to welcome the Santa Claus;
It’s a time to welcome Jesus the giver of life.
It’s not a time to laugh and enjoy;
It’s a time to experience the tender love of God.
It’s not only one day celebration;
It’s everyday celebration.
Because, Jesus Christ lives in you and me today,
Tomorrow, every day, every hour, every minute…..
           Wish you All Merry Christmas
               Baby Jesus be born in your hearts & lives

Paris Youth encounter, Antonia Paris Nilaya

The community had organised a day of seminar with youth of our parish. our parish is a very small parish which has around 25 youth. it was the first time we ever had, this type of program, so we were praying that they would respond to this invitation. to our surprise 17 of them positively responded to our invitation and added to our joy our Parish priest Fr. Paulus and the youth animator Mr. Adrin was present in the morning sessions. we had reflected with them Christus vivit and a talk on importance of daily prayer in the youth. they had group discussions about their expectations towards the Church and their responsibility towards the church. they came about many creative and positive responses. we had some time of get together and play. on the whole they were very enthusiastic about this experience since it was only for our parish youth, and requested us to have one more during summer holidays. the community members were available to host these youth and interact with them in a friendly manner. it was God given opportunity to be part of their life, building faith in them.

First Religious Commitment of Sinthiya, Mysore

“Give thanks to the Lord, for his steadfast love endures forever”.
[Psalm: 107]
I am grateful to God for his immense love for me and consecrating me as his beloved daughter to be with him, all through my life in serving God faithfully. My vocational journey with God in this 4 ½ years has brought me a miracles and spirit filled life.
Mary said, with the whole heart “nothing is impossible with God” and these same words have build up and moulded my life to respond “YES” to the plan of God.
My life and vocation is a gift of God, because I have been chosen among trillions of people in the world to serve God and it is a precious God given gift for me. This special gift has encouraged, purified and given new birth for my life. I alone cannot make it beautiful, unless I am united with God.
I qualified the preciousness of my vocation during my two years of novitiate, encountering with God and experiencing the Holy Spirit working in me especially in the midst of my doubtfulness and confusions .my experience of good and bad has influenced me to have strong foundation in all the situations. I was convinced of that each bad experience has a good fruits, likeJesus died on the cross, so that we have eternal life.
And I will make this precious gift of vocation as a fruitful and blooming, through my very life, as a missionary to spread Gospel to every creature.
                                                                                                            With love and gratitude

The new Order of Apostles: not new in doctrine, but new in Practice.
The newness is this new Order is to be faithful to the Gospel, following of Jesus and Evangelical Poverty. This was imprinted in the heart of the founders and they want to pass it on to all their daughters. This newness unfolds everyday something new and provokes our personal conversion. This year we commemorate 50 years of the extraordinary General chapter which lead the congregation to renew, to breath fresh air of the charism and the Congregation has taken a bold step to renew its Spirit according to the mandate of the Church. Let us celebrate this significant foundation day with Joy and Love in heart and mind.

Solidarity of Christ Impels us!

Solidarity of Christ Impels us!

The ways of the Lord are wonderful, and one never knows what he has in store for us. Yes! It was a privilege for me to be part of the AEYG+CF 2019, happened in East Timor from the 5th-11th of August, 2019 in the Fatima Retreat Centre, Dare, Dili. It was overwhelming to see the huge number of young people coming from 7 nationalities (East Timor, Indonesia, Philippines, Korea, Macau, Taiwan and HongKong) and the Claretian coordinators from CMF, RMI, MC and some other congregations who are mission collaborators with the Claretian family. Around 125 young people participated in this 5 days’ program.
            I arrived in East Timor on the 3rd. Thanks to my missionary formation, that, from the day I arrived in Dili I felt at home. Few faces were familiar and many are not, yet had a warm reception, care and support from whoever and mainly from the AEYG steering committee. After a little rest and some necessary preparations on the 5th moved to Dare, the venue for the gathering.
            Dare is a high mountainous area, some half an hour drive from Dili with a pleasing weather. I felt so honoured with the beautiful traditional welcome given to me and other delegates. I was representing the congregation, and at the same time was invited to be one of the resource persons for the youth. Getting a chance to come to this side of the world was never my dream nor expectation, yet I see how the Lord plans and executes what he wants. Thanks to Him for using me as an instrument to bring His message to the young people. If I have to summarize in one word I would say it was indeed a pure blessing. All throughout I experienced the goodness of the Mission Sender in every person I came across. Though this was not my first time to be present in the AEYG+CF since I have an experience of AEYG+CF, 2015 in Manila, I felt more enriched and belongingness, because, this time my purpose of visit was to participate fully and to be present with the youngsters all the time.
            The theme of this gathering was “Solidarity of Christ impels us: Go, Sell, Shareand Follow” based on the Biblical text Mt 19:16-26; Lk 10:25-37). The talks, sharing, activities and etc., all were in line with this theme and did justice to each one’sresponsibilities.
            It is impressive for me to see the great dedication and energy spent in organizing and executing   this program. As well, the collaboration of some other religious (not belonging to Claretian family) and the great involvement of the laity is truly wonderful. Special thanks must be said to the organizing committee.
            I am sure with this great experience and attention given to each and every one all throughout the program, the youngpeople have carried a lot back home for their lives and as well as to share and motivate other young friends of them in their own countries and neighbourhood.
            As Pope Francis said “the young are not the future but the present” I do want to believe that my contribution to the youth and others too will bear much fruit in their vocational discernment and especially in making them as Missionary Disciples of Jesus Christ in Solidarity with the Charism of Saint Anthony MaryClaret. At the same time, personally, this experience is a learning which I carry with me as I go back to my own and which I hope to share.
            I am grateful to the General Government and the South AsianDelegation of my Congregation for supporting me and granting me this opportunity in the service of the Lord and for the East Asian Province of my congregation and the Claretian Missionaries in ASCLA East for all the warmth and goodness through welcoming and accepting me for this event.
            May all my rich experiences be for the Greater Glory of God.

“DISTORTED FACE OF MY LORD” THAT I SEE IN EVERY ONE OF THEM

I ‘am very happy to express my heartfelt gratitude to my Almighty father, for his unconditional love that he shows me, that I am able to share with his children.
Differently abled children are called who are capable to do “ordinary things in an extraordinary way”. That is why the society calls them differently able children.
We see them with sympathy but actually they needed empathy, we people of God must learn how to help them and to be with them, we do develop the ability to accompany with them.
Disability is not something in disorder but it is to say in another word differently able. When you hear about them we feel or think immediately that they can’t walk or talk or do everything that people take for granted; with my personal experience with them, now I take nothing for granted. But I find real disability is people who can’t find joy, peace in life and are bitter. Even they can be joyful, helpful, responsible, prayerful, and grateful. But those who are created by God with all ability and live in bitterness and pain are can be called disable in reality.
In my experience being with them, I have learned a lot of things, to listen, to help and to smile. I don’t do many things with them but make them happy, in small way that is their happiness and me too. I see the face of God in them and God’s love from them. They can do everything, I don’t say the word disable but differently able.
Thank you for all of your prayerful support.
Kindly I ask all of your prayerful support for God’s mission, in what he has entrusted to me.

SOCIAL WORK

TUITION & NUTRITION PROGRAMME

Tuition and Nutrition programme is funded by Korima Claretianas, Spain. There are around 50 children every year are benefitted, including their families. They are assisted with their studies, every day additional nutritious food, and social and life skill activities.
The sponsorship programme is funded by some individuals from Italy and USA, there are around 25 year children who are benefited out of this programme. It provides them economical help for their education, education materials and birthday and Christmas gift and other emergency needs.
This year we concluded the academic year with staff meeting, parents meeting and one day picnic for the children. The children enjoyed site seeing and played in water.
This year we have reviewed the tuition programme in the community and as well with our collaborators and noted some important points: the sisters presence was felt and children improved in following guidelines and discipline and as well there was improvement in their curricular performance. The students passed out with good marks in their higher and higher secondary schools. For the better functioning and effective help to the children we would need another external tuition teacher, and as well in selection of the students for our tuition we must follow our criteria.
We also evaluated the need for the supplementary food that is provided to the children every day. Most of the families are able to meet their basic meal except very few families, what they need most is educational help for their children. So instead of food we could provide them with the study materials and one more tuition teacher.
Some of our sponsor children are studying in the private schools, and the expenses are every year rising up. The children and their families are in regular contact. Education paves better future for them, families and for the society. We are happy to be part of this creative educative mission for construction of our society.

A RAY OF LIGHT...

My experience with Sneha Kiran Run by Mysore spastic society
“A ray of light banishing darkness; A ray of love enveloping every child;
A ray of hope in the depths of impossibility”.
My gratitude towards the delegation for providing me this beautiful opportunity to give myself for these special kids. I really appreciate and admire the cheerfulness of the children, even in their disabilities their faces bloom with cute smile; when I look deep into myself, God has blessed me with all the abilities but I fail to appreciate or happy about what I have, but these innocent faces taught me a great lesson to be grateful ever. I see that the children are happy of themselves; It‘s all because of their parents, teachers and the staffs who are helping and caring for them to come up in life. This centre truly promotes life, trains and teaches them life skill to use their maximum abilities through physio -occupational therapy, speech therapy, special education, vocational training, assistance in technology, education and counselling for parents etc… which enriches the meaning of their life. In the beginning I found difficult to understand their conditions and be to their level, slowly I discovered to love them and be patient with them which lead me to give myself to this service. It was indeed a great experience for me to be  a radical missionary. I thank God for this great opportunity.
Thank you & God Bless You

ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATION

St. Francis School Annual day  - 2019

“Education is all a matter of building bridges” says Ralph Ellison. It is a great joy to share the event of the annual day of St. Francis School which is run by TOR Fathers and where we work together in the shared mission for the education of the Children in all the angles of their life. The annual day of our school was apprehended on 21st of Jan 2019, it was the one of the most anxiously awaited occasion of our school. Lot of efforts, hard work and practices were taken by the principal, all the staffs and the children beforehand. Great excitement and hurried activities were visible all around

The chief guest of the occasion was His Excellency Most. Rev. Dr. Antony Kariyil the Bishop of Mandya, Rev. Fr. Augustine Kulapuram TOR, the Provincial of Bangalore Province. And some other dignitaries, Priests, sisters and large number of Parents, Friends and well-wishers of the institute. 100% of the students cheerfully participated in the event. It was the greatest event for all the children to be appeared in the stage and bring out their talents and abilities through different Performances.

The great enthusiasm, eagerness, Zeal and the excitement of the children were indescribable. They were boosted by the teachers and the preparation and the effort made them well prepared. Really it was the Colourful and lively day in the calendar of each child in our school; we are really proud of their progress and process.

We may know that each school has a Library; it is the understanding of all the adults, but in the knowledge of the Children each school is a Library which has verity of books, the books with whom they can really communicate, share and laugh. We are so glad to be one of those books; the books are none other than the teachers. The teachers help the children to grow in spiritual, intellectual, physical, emotional so on………
We are so grateful to God for all his bountiful blessings and the graces that have been showered upon to the institution, to all the teachers and the students.

A Good teacher teaches from the heart………….

                                           God Bless…….!!!
