Let us join hands in fraternal communion
[Junior’s Encounter, Jan 26-29, 2023]
“Cherish others by recognizing their abilities, caring for all”.
With joy I would like to share the experience of our encounter with the
guidance of our dear Sr. Petronille (General Prefect of Formation) based on the
theme of ‘Fraternal Communion’. We were seven junior sisters who took part in
this journey together to make our young spirit alive in building and living
communion. It was a cherishing moment to recognize the goodness in others.
Daily we began our encounter with the morning prayer of Maria Antonia Paris to
illuminate, to know God and self. During these days of encounter, we had
discussions, meditation and sharing which opened our eyes to see the beauty in
each other and appreciate one’s own values.
“The members of a religious community are united by the love of
Christ and commitment to the kingdom of God, because they share their love and
commitment, they bond together in the community”. From all eternity, our God had
never said ‘I’ it has always been ‘WE’. So, the community requires the
attitudes of appreciation, simplicity, hospitality, sense of humor, humility,
politeness, gratitude, conversion and prayer. When we are able to develop these
attitudes in our community, we become another Christ by breaking and sharing
our life in communion.
Our heartfelt gratitude to Sr. Petronille who shared her life
experiences which motivated and inspired us to be more alive in the journey of
living in the community. Her way of life has taught us the values of
simplicity, patience and cheerfulness which we can inculcate in our day-to-day
life.
“The secret of making progress is to get started”. We are not
far off…we begin here and now to build communion in our communities where we belong.
‘WE CAN START ANEW’.
